We have worked with loyaltyMATTERS (the team behind CareerPaths) for 15+ years. They have built several websites for us during this time, including the Tasty Careers website, which is often cited as a leading example of a careers website.
How the NSAFD uses a careers website to promote apprenticeships & engage with Members.
The challenge
The NSAFD work with a wide range of food and drink employer organisations, from farm to fork. They were looking for a website to promote the diverse range of 'Tasty Careers' within the food and drink industry and to provide a central resource for attracting, recruiting and retaining talent within the industry. The site build included both English and Welsh languages.
The journey
When we were approached by the NSAFD, we started by exploring different options for the website. A dragable an scrollable 'careers map' (Google Maps style) was decided upon to show the range of career options and different workplace locations.
The site design and build process went through online scoping sessions, wireframes of the initial site layouts, and ongoing reviews and approvals for each stage of the build. We included online digital commenting and approval tools to make this stage of the process easy; bringing all comments into one place and avoiding impossible to navigate email trails.
As the site build evolved, we then added ambassador case studies, a blog and an industry vacancies section. Providing enhanced benefits for employers and enabling them to promote job vacancies.
The final build included both an English version of the site and a Welsh translation version.
The solution
We designed and built the Tasty Careers website for the NSAFD, including an interactive careers map enabling early entrants to the sector to learn more about apprenticeships, job roles, discover support, guidance and more. The website also features ambassadors giving real life experience of people working within the sector. The website design is playful and engaging and aligned to the Tasty Careers brand. We continue to host and support / maintain it on an ongoing basis.

The results
The Tasty Careers website has become the go-to resource for young people looking to pursue a career in the food & drink industry and is often cited as a leading example of a careers website.
