Career Visibility Healthcheck

Fifteen years making careers visible.

We're CareerPaths. We build the software, websites and interactive tools that show people where a career can take them — inside organisations, and out in the world where the next generation is deciding what to do with their lives. We've been doing it since before "career pathways" was a category, for organisations that don't hand this work to just anyone:

The scale of the work

Fifteen years of this work adds up in a way that’s easy to underestimate. We’ve built careers experiences across food and drink, Scotch whisky, health, science and manufacturing. Because a sector careers website represents an entire industry, that work speaks for hundreds of organisations and the people who might join them.

Along the way we’ve mapped, structured and written thousands of job roles: what each one involves, what it requires, where it can lead, and how somebody gets there from where they are now.

That’s the experience now built into Career Visibility Software — and into the starter libraries every new customer begins with.

Why CareerPaths exists

We built the software because we kept watching good work go stale.

For fifteen years we built careers websites and interactive career maps. Ambitious ones — the kind that light up a careers fair and make a whole industry look like somewhere worth building a life.

And then, six months later, a restructure would happen. A new qualification requirement. A department renamed. Every one of those changes meant a change request: a brief, a quote, an invoice, a wait. Most organisations stopped bothering, and the careers map we’d built quietly stopped being true.

The problem was never the design. It was that there was nothing underneath it — no living source of career data that the map, the website and the organisation’s own systems could all read from. So we built one.

That's Career Visibility Software: the layer we spent fifteen years wishing our clients had. It's why the three things we sell aren't three separate products with a shared logo — they're one set of career data with three surfaces — so keeping a career map true stops being a change-request project and becomes a single edit at source.

Three ways we make careers visible.

01

Career Visibility Software

Map every role, skill and pathway, structure the career conversations that follow, and show leadership whether capability is moving toward your goals.

02

Careers websites

Turn your roles, pathways and people into a destination that answers the question candidates are actually researching: “What could I become here?”

03

Interactive careers tools

Career maps, spider diagrams, workplace scenes and role explorers make complex organisations and whole industries explorable for people who’ll never read a PDF.

Who we work with

Employers, sector bodies and membership organisations.

Employers

For organisations losing good people to moves they could have made internally, and candidates to competitors who simply explained themselves better.

Sector and membership bodies

With a harder job: presenting an entire industry's routes to schools, career changers and the next generation — and keeping that accurate as every member organisation's roles evolve. It's some of the most demanding work we do, and a great deal of what we know about making careers explorable was learned there.

Public sector and health

where the careers are genuinely excellent and genuinely badly explained, and where procurement expects proper answers on data protection, accessibility and residency. We're used to those questions, and we answer them in writing before you commit. Request the Trust Pack

The people and the disciplines

Careers infrastructure takes more than developers.

A careers website that converts, an interactive map that a sixteen-year-old will actually explore, and a competency framework that survives contact with a restructure are three different crafts. Our work brings together strategy and career framework design, software engineering, user experience and interface design, illustration and animation, content and copywriting, accessibility, hosting and security, and project management — because a careers experience that's missing any one of them shows it.

What our clients tend to remark on is continuity: the people who scope your project are the people who deliver it, and the people you'll still be speaking to in year three. There's no handover from sales to implementation to a support queue, and nobody relaying your question to someone you never meet.

Extremely professional, responsive to our requirements… a fantastic team of designers, developers and project managers. We are delighted with the result.

How we work

Four things you can hold us to.

Not values. Commitments — each one checkable on this website right now.

1

We publish our prices.

All of them, for all three products, including the per-user tiers. You can see what CareerPaths costs before anyone asks about your budget.

2

We’ll tell you when we’re not the answer.

There are organisations that should buy an enterprise talent marketplace, keep their HR suite's career module, or commission a one-off agency build — and we say so, in writing, on our own website.

3

Career conversations stay private.

What an employee explores, asks and discusses is between the people in the conversation. Administrators see whether conversations are happening, never what was said. That's not a setting we offer; it's how the software is built.

4

We build things that stay true.

One source of career data behind everything, so maintaining it takes minutes rather than a project — because a careers map that's out of date is worse than no map at all.

Trust and credentials

The boring, important details.

CareerPaths is a product of loyaltyMATTERS Ltd. Everything we build is UK-hosted, and our full Trust Pack — data processing agreement, sub-processor register, data residency, AI and data use, retention and off-boarding — is available before you commit, not after you've signed.
