How the NHS achieved a 145% increase in user visits & engagement
With over 70,000 unique visitors the Careers In Pharmacy website has quickly become the sector's go to resource.
Client: NHS Project: Full careers website & copywriting
The Challenge...
We needed to find new, innovative and fun ways to attract more people to pursue a career in pharmacy as well as retaining and engaging with the current workforce. Existing pharmacy careers websites were static, lacked real life stories and didn't showcase the vast career options as a pharmacist.

As the project lead for this fantastic website, I am super excited to share the first interactive pharmacy careers map. It wouldn't have been possible without the team at CareerPaths.
The Journey...
When we were approached by the Health Education England to develop a Pharmacy careers website, we started by exploring the many and different workplaces where pharmacists can begin and progress their careers. We proposed a visual 'careers map' to provide an intuitive way to illustrate and explore the wide range of careers paths and roles available. Initially starting as a project for the NHS in the South East, the website was quickly adopted at a national level to promote Pharmacy Careers across the UK.
The site design and build process went through online scoping sessions, wireframes of the initial site layouts, and ongoing reviews and approvals for each stage of the build. We used online digtal commenting and approval tools to make this stage of the process easy; bringing all comments into one place and avoiding impossible to navigate email trails.
The project involved extensive researching and writing of job descriptions.
Developing a careers website is a collaborative process. Our role at CareerPaths is to guide you through the process and provide creative, technical and project management input to help you get the outcome you are hoping to achieve.
The whole process of developing our Careers In Pharmacy website was made so much easier by the team at CareerPaths. They were extremely professional, responsive to our requirements and have a fantastic team of designers, developers and project managers. We are delighted with the result.
